Description

A magnificent French Napoleon III bronzed spelter sculptural mystery timepiece, around 1860-1870.

Eight day movement in good working order,with Brocot escapement contained in a dark patinated global case  (diameter 16cm) with Roman numerals forming the upper part of a steel feather suspended gridiron  pendulum, held aloft by  patinated cast spelter figure of a girl signed  Brise d’automne par Aug Moreau ( méd d’Or ), on a circular base.
