Description
Music box with ten melodies and seven bells TT l’Epée.
The nickel-plated mechanism is powered by a spring barrel and has a fixed winding key. It plays ten melodies with a 33cm wide cylinder on a steel comb, this one is mounted with screws. there are two operating levers.
The first is for starting and stopping the melody when it is finished.
The second for changing and repeating the melodies. On the inside of the lid the melody card is attached.
The lid veneered with rosewood and carrot nuts has a marquetry decoration of flowers and foliage of different fruit tree species.
All around, the box is veneered with rosewood and cordoned off with a rich rush, on the sides are two bronze carrying levers and stands on a profiled ebonized frame with flat legs.
The box is in perfect condition and is briefly completely restored by one of the best-known restaurateurs of play boxes Michel Bourgoz from Auberson in Switzerland.
